In December 1994, I completed my B.E. in Electronics and Communication from L. D. College of Engineering, Ahmedabad. (after 4 and half years, as the communal riots in Ahmedabad spoiled our study for 6 months)

Within a month I decided to study Computers in great detail and from a good institute. I decided to come out of hardware and jump in the world of Software. I studied for a month and half and wrote GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering ) This exam is a must for those who want to do post graduation in India's premier institutes.
After writing the test and while I was awaiting for my admissions I started working as a Teaching Assistant in my college, from where I did my BE. Computer Science Department of Indian Institute of Science. Once again there were campus interviews, but this time the companies were big, multinationals. I made it in Wipro, Motorala and Novell (after which I could not attend the interviews because of our placement office's restriction). I decided to join Novell.
